Anyone have any updates on this property?
With the convention center expansion coming and the loss of the Riviera, it's insane that they haven't started any kind of REAL construction...

Have you not seen the roads in front of and behind resort world? All that construction is for resort world.
They're getting power run underground so they can start up again.

The Economist magazine had a recent article The Graying of Casino's, and the future of the casino industry, perplexed at how to lure the non-gaming milennials into casino's, to replace their parents, grandparents. A stiff challenge to the casino industry! How to create gambling machines they might get interested in, and would it be worth the money to create them, and then, not be utilized?

Like I've said, many times before, if this was going to be a big money maker for Resorts World, the project would have been finished 3-4 years ago, regardless of whether or not they had been approved by the Gaming Board or not.

Caesars seem to have a plan. Tighten the slots, Comp drinks on play, Close the best shows and make the rooms more expensive. This has saved me about $10k and the loss of my diamond status for 2017. As Station casinos have taken over the Palms they have a better comp scheme so time to give them a go.

Earlier this year they said they would ramp up construction by the end of the year. Well, the end of the year is here and nothing. Now, according to this article mobilization is to start sometime in the first quarter of next year.

They claim the delays have been because of refining the design. I won't believe it until I see some real construction going on.

I'm not expecting the expansion to start just yet. They just got it all cleaned up. I'm sure there's a bunch of red tape to cut as well.

Resort world needs to hurry the hell up so I can get back to a normal job instead of side jobs. (I want my insurance and pension credits)

You'll see them start now that there is non-stop service from Beijing.

From what I have been told it's been slowed by red tape. Getting approvals and permits and permits for the permits etc.
