Firstly congratulations!

Well, there was a time when the palms was THE place to be, every time I've passed through now its been close to empty.

If its your first job waitressing its awesome you got in, though I'd get the experience there and be trying my hardest to move to a strip property asap...

It wont be mind blowing, but Im sure youll be happy to get hired there. Its not as packed as years before, but the Palms is nothing to sneeze at.

Faceless,

Congratulations, you now have your foot in the door. Work the job, keep you customers happy (to maximize tips) and keep your bosses happy (to maximize juice.) Look to see if you can parlay this job into the same position at one of the better Strip casinos down the line.

No it's not my first job cocktailing but it's the nicest property I've worked at hands down.

Thanks. If you had to guess how much do you think I'd make? And yes, the manager was very open with me and said girls only stay 6-8 months then leave but I was hoping to stay there long term if they're nice to me.

No @macgeek I do not sing not do I dance

Well, give us a clue since so far you have more information then us... How much an hour is the pay, and how many hours a week have they told you you'd be doing....? Will they give you weekends or start you on monday mornings?

Cocktail waitressing doesn't work that way.

It's more like

Base pay + (avg. net worth of guest ÷ inverse of attractiveness) * inebriation of guest + miniscule % of guest winnings.....

I disagree, average $1.00 a drink, more if people winning, more if waiter/waitress is friendly, remembers me, brings me a refill if they see i'm out and still playing.

If my coworkers aren't blowing smoke, the women in the high-limit rooms are making more in a few hours than I make all week.
