anyone have an idea on this area? i see it's ok from the crime map but am wondering if it's BORING. seems like it is in the middle of nowhere. zip is 89144.

nope definitely not boring. this is actually one of the preferred zip codes in las vegas. mostly anyone living in vegas DOES NOT live on the strip. we are all in the outlying areas. you may think it's "nowhere" now but believe me...with the growth this city sees it won't be "nowhere" for long.

Well that is pretty much central north Summerlin. Library, Vons, Summerlin Swimming pool and park, Post Office, Light commercial.

I live in the area and love it. Summerlin isn't like the strip or anything, but there is plenty of day-to-day activity.

The suburban residential areas are better suited for living than areas closer to downtown, true. The crime is lower and the homes tend to be nicer. My only correction to make is that, Summerlin, although a suburb, technically is still Las Vegas.
