Well, on the bright side, shouldn't all this essentially flow into Lake Mead which is realllllly dry?

pahrump doesn't get their water from lake mead, so all of ours will go back into our acquifer. i'm not sure how long that'll take tho. if it rains here monday, does all that water get into our acquifer the same day? 2 wks later? 2 yrs later?

Seems that way to me in 89052. I guess we should count our blessings and be thankful it wasn't worse.

IOW, the area did get hit, but it was more like heavy t-storms/heavy rain than actually Hilary. Actually, any bands of Hilary weren't even there, unlike what was reported on our iPhones.

If I'm wrong about the previous statement (above), please do correct me.

pahrump got 2". thankfully it wasn't all at once. we've got large puddles thru out town & way up north in the round mtn/carvers area, state route 376, mile marker 62 there is a whole section of the road that is gone gone gone. i'd say a 5 foot section of both lanes that has been swept away.

1-2 inches in areas that get 4-6 over a year is a pretty big deal but seems most people listened a little too closely to the idea this was a hurricane hitting so of course it felt underwhelming.
