Default 89104 vs 89107

My family and I love the Las Vegas area and I am going to buy a lower end property as a vacation home, (not to rent)
I put a couple of bids in the 89104 area that didn't go, but now also noticed the 89107 area with it's many two car garages and so forth.
Is one area preferable over the other to locals here?
Thanks

I personally prefer 89107 [charleston Heights area] they are predominately Sproul Homes from the early 60's and extremely wellmade albiet mostly total electric.
