Default question

I am considering relocatin to LV but after reading this thread have some reservations. It seems to have taken an awful long time for the people in this thread to get there job offers at CC. I was planning to start applying for jobs now and be set up with one within a month, maybe two at most. Is this a possibility or does it take months to get a job? Im a licensed RE agent and planned on getting a job at a casino or as a waitress or something while I get licensed in NV. Any tips would be greatly appreciated, Thank you

get a job in a month or two? in a casino? wouldn't bet on it.. do you have casino experience? do you know someone at a casino? in 2 months, you would be lucky to find ANY job.. and take it from a real estate guy too.. very few agents make any good money unless they have contacts here... the only one's making money are the agency's that are charging fees to their agents.

How is M Resort now? I haven't been there since the grand opening.

Maybe next time when drive southward to check my rental property in San Diego I will drop by to have a look.

So what you are saying, in essence, is the only way to get a job, any good job at least, in LV is only if you "know people" ? And regardless of the fact that I make pretty good money here in Washington state as an agent, I wont make anything in LV unless I "know people"? Thats kind of hard to believe in a place as big as LV. LV appears to be full of employment opps.

And yes I do have waitressing and bar tending experience. Not in a casino maybe, but in the service industry.

Plus I have never had any trouble getting a job, It usually takes me a month, at most to find a job if I need one. On top of that I also have an AA degree and will have my BA this summer, so Im not exactly unemployable

no what i am saying is that it is very difficult to get a job here... look around.... there are layoffs everywhere....
as for the real estate thing, there are a bajillion agents here.. multiple offers on the homes.. ask anyone,,,, its not as easy as you think..

bring a years worth of money reserves also...you will go through it...
