Cloud Carpet One is going to come by next week to do measurements and we've decided to go with them.
The salesperson was pleasant and was able to give me a rough estimate for tearing out old carpet, laying down the laminate with padding underneath. The rough estimate sounds fair and the laminate wood is going to look great!
Of course then the tile will need replacing.

LOL Yeah that's the trap...do one room and the others will look like they need an upgrade. I hope you are as happy with the job they do as I was. When it comes to home improvements it doesn't matter how much you spend on materials if the install is done poorly its ALL money wasted.

Let us know how it goes

Buzz123, could you send me (Direct Message) the name and number of your tile setter? I may need to be contacting him in the next couple of months.
