You will find a lot of Southerners in Las Vegas. You should be respectful toward them. There is a huge good 'ole boy network in Vegas, and they play rough.

I've never seen a snake in town, and only half a dozen scorpions at the most, since 1964. Where you are coming from you will have 1,000 times more nasty critters than you'll find in Las Vegas. Don't believe the old western movies.

Yes NEVADA is libertarian in our thinking, but not politically. Actually we are about evenly Democrat and Republican. We will probably be replacing the second most powerful Democrat in the country with a female Republican who has no national political experience. It will be refreshing. But the best governors we've had, with maybe one exception, have been Democrats, and the worst were Republicans. Nevadans tend to vote for the person, not the party.
