Hello everyone, I'm going to be out in Las Vegas this Friday, my first time in Nevada, to see Arctic Monkeys at the House of Blues (as well as Them Crooked Vultures at the Joint the next day), and I was wondering if anyone here has any information about the venue? I've found it very difficult to find any information online about public/customer parking for House of Blues, and back of venue information, where the bands tour buses park. Does anyone here have any good tips for having a great time at House of Blues, or the Joint, in Las Vegas? I'd like to try to meet the bands that are playing, but with Las Vegas that's doubtful, and I don't want to drive into Las Vegas with no idea of where to park so I'm not far from House of Blues. Also, does anyone know the best place to just get a drink and relax near House of Blues? Thanks for any help!

It's located inside Mandalay Bay so there will be no shortage of places to get a drink while you're waiting for the show. In fact, you can drink while you're at the HOB. It's a smallish venue. I'd ballpark it at 1,500 - 2,000 people. You shouldn't have any problems finding parking on Mandalay Bay's property as MB has an event center that draws far more people than a HOB concert.

Parking is almost never a problem in Las Vegas. It's nearly always free unless it's for city hall, and every business is required to have enough to handle their customers. You can park yourself in Mandalay Bay's garage, or valet park at the front door. House of Blues will be no sweat getting to, and as TS told you, there are more bars inside Mandalay Bay than in your home town (I'll bet). Same situation at the Hard Rock where the Joint is located. No big deal.

It's Vegas Baby! We know how to treat you right.

HoB - There are a set of center tables behind/near the sound board which are a great spot to watch the show from if you're #1 a drinker, #2 enjoy watching the show comfortably from a seated position. These tables go from $150-$200 which includes 4 seats and a $150-$200 in booze. So essentially, it's a good deal if you're going to drink your weight like I do. They may offer the upper deck all you can drink area which is a great deal but it's a terrible view of the show. One could travel back and forth but you do miss some of the show this way.

Parking is generally not an issue, unless there's an event going on in the event center. Then parking is a nightmare. We just went thru this with Muse going on while Fear Factory was playing HoB.

The Joint is alright, good upper deck seating and parking is reasonable on weekdays. Weekends get dicey but it shouldn't be too bad overall. Getting out of the venue is sorta nuts so if you're the anxious type that needs to get out of there in a hurry, leave a little earlier than normal. Their merch area constricts the outflow to near intolerable levels.

Enjoy the shows. Oh, there's a great late night sushi place across the street from Hard Rock if you get hungry. I'd leave Mandalay Bay and find a different spot if you're hungry after HoB. The Cafe and Noodle Shop are overpriced, especially for post-concert food.

Yeah, what they said.

Since you asked about getting a drink near House of Blues, be a tourist and check out the Minus 5 ice bar just around the corner and up the stairs from House of Blues. It's an expensive shot of vodka, but what the heck, you're on vacation and should try something different.

Parking at Mandalay bay is fine unless there is an event going on at the Event Center as well. If there is park at the Luxor, Excalibur or New York New York and walk.

Parking at the Hard Rock though... SUCKS. The garage is a nightmare after a show. I'd suggest parking at Planet Hollywood or Terribles and walking.

Thanks for all the responses everyone, I really appreciate it. The information is perfect. If anyone knows anymore about the back of the House of Blues (like trying to meet bands after the show) I would be in your debt. Thanks again!

I love House of Blues for concerts! The drinks are crazy expensive in there though. I know nothing about the Joint, hopefully someone will come in with tips on that Venue.
Welcome!

One more thing to add. The House of Blues has bathroom attendants. Bring a couple bucks to pee

Wife wants to see Cyndi Lauper at HoB in August. They are offering something called "pew" seating upfront. They guy said it's about 15 feet from the stage, dead center, with a padded bench and private table in a roped off area. Tickets are about $140. Anybody ever seen this?
