Not if they really love their illegal. Love doesn't occur only in the USA, except sometimes love of money. Now how could anyone just wave bye to a spouse or parent who is being deported? It's easy enough to live in Mexico.

A person can get to the USA with a tourist/student visa and stay here illegally.
There's a difference if you had a visa and were inspected by DHS at POE you have different rights and you can adjust status even if you are out of status
That dont apply to someone who was never inspected at POE

I am an american citizen married to an undocumented person. recently i have received a good job offer to work in El Paso,Tx but we would like to live in Las Cruces,NM. however since it is so close to the border i would like to know just how difficult it would be for us to be living there since my spouse has no legal status in the USA.Thanx a lot for looking and also for all your answers.God bless you !
It would be next to impossible to adjust status in US if he was never inspected by ICE. Maybe he can return to Mexico and apply for a tourist visa
and then adjust status in US

The economy isn't going to improve any time soon. Get legal before you run into more serious difficulties. You're a citizen, you're married, and this can be worked out in time. There's no easy fix though. If you've been married less than ten years, they will suspect a green card marriage of opportunity.

Thats not correct if you are illegal and not inspected at POE you cant adjust status in US You only have to be married for 2 yrs to remove temporary restrictions on green card
