Hello. Here is the background Information. My parents came to US and filed for asylum (application listed only my parents). The asylum was approved and granted. I then came to the US lawfully under my parents asylum relative petition. When we went to apply for green card, the officer found minor inconsistencies with the initial asylum and decided to terminate it. My parents were given a notice to appear (court date is in 2019). When it got terminated, I feared I will get depoetrd so I applied and got approved for DACA. I want to marry my US citizen fiancee next year. Will my parents asylum case get in the way of my Adjustment of Status once I marry? Again, I cam here at 9 yrs old as a Derivative on a relative asylum petition filed by my parents. Please help!

Contact an immigration lawyer. This is not something that an internet forum is qualified to answer.

Start with the EOIR website, look for free or low cost representation. Click on your state of residence. You'll get 1-3 pages of attorneys who are able to practice or are accredited representatives.

My question all attorney speaks confidently in while discussing the case. I don't know how to trust lawyer. Whether he will provide the best legal representation to my case or not

Any firm listed on the EOIR website is authorized to practice and regularly appears before DHS. It really is a good starting point and it's where USCIS/ICE directs all people who have immigration problems for legal advice.

No one can know for 100% sure of anything in life, but you can make an educated guess.

An attorney who has a website that devotes 90% of the screen to family based immigration, probably isn't going to be as good in employment based immigration as another firm with a website that's 90% dedicated to employment based immigration.

Common sense tells you to stay away from the people on Craigslist who offer to move you in one hour with 6 men for $100, right? Finding an attorney is no different.

If the attorney makes USCIS out to be an evil overseer who never gets anything right, their office smells of rich mahogany but the lobby is filled with what appears to be low income clients, then you can guess that they're not exactly on the up-n-up.

If the attorney promises you that they know *wink*wink* an immigration officer, your case is a shoe-in, smiles with a gold teeth and their office is covered with what appears to be white marble but the lobby floor is made of linoleum, then you know they can't be trusted either.

But if the attorney sets you down, has a full conversation with you, listens and tells you, "In my experience your type of case has several possible outcomes." And then proceeds to narrow in on the likeliest outcome based on the information you provide, while warning you that nothing is guaranteed... is probably a decent attorney.

Seriously? You have been advised to get a real lawyer. Then you tell us that you do not know how to trust a lawyer, but would trust anonymous advice given on a forum? Seriously?

The best advice anyone can give is to contact several lawyers, talk to each of them and then pick the one you feel most confident with.
