This is an odd question. Doesn't sound like you were born in the USA at all; even 6 year olds know the answer to that. Your hospital where you were born need to provide proof of a birth certificate filed for evidence of your birth in this country. This is then sent to apply for a passport. If you left at 15, you would certainly have had a passport to be able to leave... Makes no sense at all, your question.
You need to apply to the division of vital records at the city hall of the town/city you were born in the USA for a copy of your birth certificate if you don't have the passport that was used in order for you to leave the USA. This will prove your citizenship in order to apply for a new passport at the local consulate/embassy in your current location.

Why such apparent hostility? There are actually several justifiable reasons why the question is of merit and the OP has been given sufficient good advice to put him/her on the right path.

Yeah, seriously...that was an unnecessarily mean question. Why accuse someone of not even being American?!

"antibes" has posted frequently on many different forums and pretty much on target for the most part.
My introduction to her was on this forum where I felt she was way off base on the "Londonistan" thread. And, again, I felt she was way off base with her comment to the OP on this thread and commented accordingly.
I think she sometimes just spouts off without knowing facts. There's always that lesson to be learned which is, if you really don't know of what you speak then either refrain or else do research before you speak, and be prepared to back up your comments. That simple.
What do posts 4 to 8 have to do with the thread? How about keeping personal opinions on a personal level?
Post 5 is information and not a personal opinion.
