when my husband receives the application for visa packet, will it already include our interview date or not until the nvc receives the completed application then we will receive another letter indicating the date of the interview.
You won't get the interview date until at least NVC is finished with your file. Then it depends on the country- for some, NVC tells you the date (usually a couple of months later), for some, you have to wait till the embassy gets your paperwork and they will tell you the date of the interview, and with yet other countries you have to call and make the appointment.
Way after your husband sends in the I-130 and related documents. As I mentioned before, the whole process takes 8+ months.
Medical is done by a approved clinic/ doctor; there are usual several to chose from. You cannot chose the embassy/ consulate you interview in, it will depend on where you reside.
how much (dollar amount) do you need to have as "show money" in your account to prove you can support whoever your petitioning?
If you make a good income, you need no money in your account at all. If there is an income short fall, you need x5 the shortfall in assets. How much income you need will depend on your household size: USCIS - I-864P, Poverty Guidelines
my husband received the visa application package. does it really just consist of the visa application form (telling you how to make the payment electronically) and the change of address/agent application form? there was nothing else there. i thought it would have a sheet of paper listing all the documents he would need to gather to submit back to nvc. will he be getting another package then (that will include the affidavit of support, etc)? thanks.
