Hi everybody.
I was in US last summer via work and travel program.. I worked as a pedicab driver If you're from NYC so you know them..

I had a lot of traffic tickets and I couldn't take care some of them. Because court days were after my return date.

So do you think it will be problem for me to get visa for this summer?

Thanks.

No.. unless they were misdemeanor offences or offenses that carry a jail/prison sentence.

But you probably have warrants because you didnt take care of the tickets. When they catch up with you, that will cause you sufficient amount of grief.

Arrest record does affect you.

You probably won't have a problem getting a visa but you'll certainly have a problem if you look for any kind of a driving license or driving-related job when back in the US. If you do get a visa and return stateside I'd strongly suggest you immediately clear up those tickets and warrants.

Don't worry too much...you are just doing what the president of the US did...He only started to pay his tickets after he decided to run for the presidency...so you should be fine. You can always claim you followed his example
