We are going to be looking at a house on Reeder Street in Easton.
Can anyone tell me about this area?

Default I like Easton

The street you are looking at is up on the hill about 4 blocks from the prestigious but small Lafayette College. This is the very best part of Easton. I used to live on Ferry Street near downtown and the County Courthouse which was not such a great area. Easton as a whole is a working class and blue collar town with inexpensive rowhouses but the neighborhood around Lafayette College is charming, safe, and attractive ... very middle class, and with some lovely Victorian homes. Easton has some good restaurants and pubs, and some interesting shops downtown. I think the town is going up hill, not declining at all, and commuters to NYC and Philly are considering Easton as an affordable place to live.

Just my opinion.

Thank you Clark! We absolutely LOVED the College Hill area, and I'm a bit obsessed with the beautiful Victorian homes. We are in the process now of working with a local Lehigh Valley broker and are thinking of making an offer. Fingers crossed.
