That is what most of us try to get AWAY from!!! If you want a bunch of crappy, generic chain restaurants, move to LA, Houston, Dallas or Atlanta!
I don't want a bunch of chain restaurants....just my Chipotle.
I've promised my kids that everytime we go near one in Philly we will stop by.

One thing I like about Chipotle vs. mom and pop restuarant is that they use meat that is fed only grains rather than the cheap meats used by most restaurants that are fed all kinds of fillers. Some of the meats used in restaurants are just plain scary to me.

It was in the South side of town pretty close to the Good Shepherd rehab place. There's a Mexican restaurant in Coopersburg that has mixed reviews. When we visited it seemed pretty bland and more tex-mex then real Mexican, but perhaps we ordered the wrong things. I make mexican food pretty often as we all like quesidillas and fajitas and I can make them as spicy as I want.
Amigo Mio is a little hole in the wall place but many think it's the best in Allentown. It is right down the street from Good Shepherd in south side. Of course Johnny manana's just opened too.

There is a new one in easton but the name escapes me. A cheap but authentic one is Lindo Mexico on Main st. in Bethlehem. Tortilla flats is just OK but it has more combos than you can shake a stick at. The lupita place next to Lehigh is decent too.

Yes, that's the place I was thinking of! I've been there twice and really enjoyed it.

I went out last night with some co-workers to the Olive Branch in South Bethlehem. It's just a couple of doors down from a very good thai place that I think I mentioned on another thread. The Olive Branch is mideastern food and everything was delicious. It was packed too. If we had not made a reservation, we wouldn't have gotten a table. Of course with seating for about 50 people, it doesn't take that many people to fill it up. BYOB.
