Has anyone heard of local companies in the Lehigh Valley employing
ex-offenders with decent employment?

There was a telemarketing company that had a whole crew from work release. In 1996-97 they were earning roughly 9.50-$11 with shift differentials and bonuses. Some even were able to work in some management capacity. Most were decent but there was a handful who were dirtbags. My co-workers and I were amazed and disturbed at some of the riff raff that came through those doors. There was no other company that I know of that had such low hiring standards. Then again it was telemarketing.

There was a Sales/floor manager who got in trouble by the work release ctr and the office for taking some of these guys out cruising and falsifying paperwork by putting down that they were on work related assignments.

Default Telemarketing....great

I have tried telemarketing recently, LoL. Huh...I couldn't do the whole constant bothering of people to buy something and the management was ruthless in techniques to keep people on the phone. I guess I am looking for something in manufacturing for now. I like to keep in motion and race China!

Default It happens!

So I heard that people with businesses and one year of taxes can hire people out of work release and get a $3500.00 tax rebate to hire felons if they work for a certain time period?

If you interview well and have the right answers in regard to your past and your present you should be able to find a job.
