I guess my post didnt post. Ugh.

Anyway, I am really surprised by this news. There really arent many AVAILABLE good jobs in the area, and the area seems to attract more uneducated folks than educated. Hopefully this trend will continue, and we will perhaps have more businesses move in and call the Valley home. I think this area really needs to do more to attract more companies. Olympus was a great start, and having the Sands helps, but we need more innovation in job creation here.

I was surprised too but I wonder if it's that the rest of the country is so bad, that we look good?!

My guess is that's the reason why Scranton has been topping so many lists lately. It never "boomed", so now it can't crash.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre is a nice area of the state. You did have a small bubble but nothing like the valley down here. It's still hilarious to watch SNL do the skits on the VP talking crap on Scranton.
