Would like to rent a cabin for the weekend on a local lake. I have found very little info for cabin rentals on laurel lake (ideal place), i heard lake cumberland is dirty and not to go there. I have also heard good things about cabins on Dale Hollow lake, but that is closer to 3 hours away. I was hoping there was something closer. Maybe a cabin by natural bridge on a river or something? Ideas? Cave run?

Natural Bridge State Park has comfortable cabins - not sure about availability on short notice, however. The area is spectacular, as you may already know. The Red River Gorge is adjacent to Natural Bridge.

The modern cabins at Lake Cumberland State Park are also very, very nice. And the lake was very clean upon my last visit. The park is nicely maintained and has a lot of wildlife, plus a good restaurant, walking trails, a golf course, and more.
