LR isn't really known for its food. BBQ in LR is mostly gross, imo. It's some odd combination of Memphis bbq, KC bbq, and Texas bbq; apparently, when you mix those things, you end up with LR funk. Whole Hog, which is Memphis-style bbq, is the best in town.

Catfish in LR is pretty good. Grampa's and **** of the Walk are my favorites.

I can't really think of anything that screams 'Little Rock!'

Holy crap. I am in LR today and I ate at the resturaunt called The Hop. It is a a little resturaunt on markham close to the peabody. They have great southern food. I had collard greens and chicken fried steak and sat around for 20 minutes talking to the cook about what is going to be cooked and how he makes it. Great place. They have great hamburgers too. TxDav would even like them. You need to get the hot hamburger.

I have been meaning to check them out! Definitely will now.

Are they just a lunch joint or are they also open for dinner?
