Hey guys,
I just turned 23, freshly out of college and just got my first job! (I'm moving to London baby!)
I'm south Indian, born & raised in Germany and went to University in Switzerland.
And I want to have an Studio or 1BR apartment.
My net-income is 60.000 GBP.
I want to have an lively and exciting neighborhood, with a lot of young people and something to do every night (going out).
What would you guys recommend me?
Also, I need to have great public transportation, I don't want to drive and my job is located downtown.
My first thought were Dalston and Shoreditch
Please clarify what you mean by "downtown". What area in central London will you be working (EC, W1, etc.) and what is the maximum time you are willing to commute? Also confirm the budget?
I'm going to work in E14 and my daily commute should be not more than 30 minutes for one way , and I would be willing to spend 1500 gbp for a studio/1br.
E14 or Canary Wharf is not Central London (downtown as you put it) but East London. Anywhere in Zone 2 from Dalston down to Canary Wharf should fit what you are looking for and give you easy access to work.
