Hi! We are looking for a broker who is reliable, fair, affiliated with many banks, and charges a low fee/point. Please help us out....

also- do you think it is wrong or illegal to use a broker but then search individual banks as well to see if we can get a better rate then them?

Nothing wrong with shopping on your own in addition to using a broker. Do you have special circumstances that warrant the fee you will pay to a broker? Otherwise, you would do better going directly to a bank or credit union.
