Wishing you and yours a ziessen Pesach (PEH-sahkh, PAY-sahkh), a sweet Passover.

The 8-day Jewish Biblical Festival of Pesach (Ex. 12:14-20, 13:1-10 and Lev. 23:4-8), begins on the 15th day of Nissan and ends on the 22nd day of Nissan (that's the Babylonian 'Nissan', not the Japanese 'Nissan'), which this year, this will be from sundown, Monday, April 18, to sundown, Tuesday, April 26 on the civil calendar (in Israel, Pesach ends at sundown on Monday, April 25).

Named for the 'passing over' of the Angel of Death that slew the first born sons of the Egyptians, Pesach celebrates the liberation of the children of Israel from slavery in Egypt and the beginning of the Israelite, now Jewish people, and has been continuously celebrated for more than 3,300 years.

So other than the tradition/religious foods that are eaten at a Seder what do most Jewish families eat for their main meal for Passover? Is what is eaten different for conservative vs orthodox jews?

Salami and cheese with a glass of milk....we do have an Eruv though.

I remember the look my buddy got for ordering that gem when I took him to Bens.

Happy Passover everyone.

From my experience, it's either brisket or turkey. or maybe both.

Not that I'm aware of.
I have had many friends in differents sects that pretty much eat larger quantities that are on the traditional plate (egg, herbs,etc...), while others mostly do the brisket and turkey thing.
