Hi all, I'll be moving to Albertson but I know that Mineola has many more trains going into Penn. My question is : Will I be able to park in Mineola to take trains from there as an Albertson resident? Is the increased frequency of trains worth the trip?
Also, I know there is public parking but I'd like to know how available it is? Would I be searching for a spot for a while or are they pretty easy to come by?
In the Mineola station they have a couple of big garages there you can park in, although I am not sure of the daily or monthly fees to do so.
There is parking on the streets, but you have to get there pretty early to get a spot....(before 7am)
Since you are a resident of Albertson I am not sure how that would work out in terms of you parking your car at Mineola, since you are not a resident of that town...?
Issues like these only confirm why I like Suffolk county better, most of the train stations there have huge parking lots and if they are full there is plenty of parking on the side streets (Ronkonkoma, Huntington, Farmingdale, etc....)

thanks for any advice.
Mineola has all different types of parking but if you arent a resident of Mineola some of those lots will not be available for you.
The Mineola intermodal parking lot is available to everyone at $6 a day and there are long term rates too. The lot is adjacent to the train station and sits over the bus terminal for LI Bus.
