Nassau correction officer killed in crash (http://www.newsday.com/long-island/nassau/nassau-correction-officer-killed-in-crash-1.3385595 - broken link)
My brother went to high school with this guy. My mom told me about it today. I did not know him well, but it's still sad.

My other half worked with him a lot a few years ago, and has good things to say about him. He said he was "always a nice guy." For him to say that means something, because he doesn't say stuff like that just to say it. It speaks to the kind of person Frank Milano was, too, as that job can take the "nice" right out of someone if they let it.

I feel for the family and friends, not only for their immediate loss, but for how this will be part of their holidays going forward.

yes I feel for the families as well. I knew of him but when my brother told my mom about it he sounded very upset.

He had two young kids, from what I understand.

Was your brother close with him? I can DM you the service info when I have the details, if you'd like.

My brother lives out of state and since I did not know the guy well I wouldn't go to his funeral. Thanks anyway.
