These are all New York City stations. If you want to discuss Long Island television, bring on the discussions of channel 21 on UHF. Memories of Lilian, Yoga, and You, Folk Guitar Plus, and the painting guy.
For old photos, check out the New York Public Library. They have a lot of digitalized photos to view online. New York City has its own photo archives department. There was a website where you could view them online. Also they used to show them on a program on channel 22 for a while.
I think that Million Dollar Movie (channel 9) and all the late show and late late show variations where they showed B&W movies started to fade away by 1980 or so. After that, the "late show" became either a rerun of a made for TV movie (probably with Valerie Bertinelli, lol) or a Jake and the Fatman or TJ Hooker rerun.
Actually they were still going strong until the late 90s. I remember coming home from work on Saturday nights and watching the Million Dollar Movie on channel 9. Even after it became UPN
Ahh the Million Dollar Movie I can remember when this was on channel 9 and they would run the same movie all week long. I believe they did this up until the mid 1960's I recall watching Abbott and Costello join the Navy 45 times or so in one week. Great emories and good stuff from back in the day.
People may not recall what you said to them, but they will always remember how you made them feel .
