This is the sequel to last years: Favorite Long Island City-Data Threads of 2011

This board has really taken a nose-dive since then. No Gpsma, no Crooks, and a lot of other good posters are MIA.

So what are your favs this year?

-Inflatable snowman slashing?
-How to properly wash your feet in the shower?
-250 foot trees falling?
-Neighbor dispute over who is required to clean up the fallen tree
-RE agent gone mad thread?
-Fell off a chair??
-'READY-CUT LLC' cornering of the LI French Fry market
-LIPA Fails?
-Where are the animal lovers?
-Ronkonkoma is not the boonies rants
-Gun Control threads (all seem to have vanished)

I'm going with the Great All American French Fry Debate.

Ah, that was actually a good one.

Happy new year to all!

I'll go with the fell off the chair thread. That was pretty entertaining. No thread of 2012 was as good as the one from 2011 where the guy was upset his kid's teacher showed Cinderella in class though. That's my all time favorite.

I'm also going with the french fry debate. I think everyone loves french fries. I have to check back, but I think there are some new contenders now. Shake Shack just opened and I don't think we ever discussed Smashburger. They both have some pretty tasty fries. I still think the best fries are at Waterzooi. I dream about that horseradish/mustard dip. Yummy.

Happy New Year!! Be safe.

Edit: Smashburger was discussed.

I am going with the french fry debate, because it made me take a trip to All American to determine their authenticity.

+1 for "Ready-Cut," and also the threads where that guy posted all the helpful maps.

I agree with Bitter... that chair thread was a goodie. The fry one was definitely a runner up.

And if we have a best thread... we'd need a posthumous award for best poster. RIP Walter.
