There is a semi private game in plainview behind the old islanders building across from Coliseum Kitchen and Royal Car Wash. They would not start up again until March, the games are on Sat mornings, usually starting around 10ish. I also recommend contacting the local school districts and looking for their adult education or continuing education classes. A number of schools have it open as a courtesy to the local district residents, or charge a small fee for non residents. PM me if you are interested in the plainview game and i will add you to the email list.
Kunk10 I am in the same boat. I moved from the city a few years ago but not much on the island. I know of LIhoops but you have to find a team and all of that. If you hear of anything please keep me posted.
anyone know of any good spots on the north shore for adult pickup basketball or semi-competitive leagues? thanks in advance.
On the weekends you might try Christopher Morley Park in Roslyn. I went there a few times last year and one thing that struck me was how much it reminded me of an NYC playground with all the guys shooting hoops
i've heard that, but i think it doesn't start until the spring

Have you looked into any rec centers by you. RVC rec center has adult basketball 1or 2 nights a week. I used to go and it was pretty competitive.
