Have money can't buy a house (Lima: 2014, renting, school district)

Sometimes I think people just make up new screen names and create stories like this to get us all fired up. I hope the OP gets this house and a natural disaster takes it out!
I agree. Whenever I see posts like the OP's, I see if the screen name is recognizable and then I look at the number of posts made under said screen name.
Who is on social services here? He has a job and generous parents and in-laws. How did your family get here? Everyone who comes to America comes with similar hopes and dreams.
Why the hostility?
He is trying to use money that is untaxed. He probably would also like to avoid any gift tax. So why dont the parents and in-laws get together, buy a house, and give him a mortgage...even if they dont collect on it, it no longer becomes his problem. I suspect the parents dont want to show up with suitcases of untaxed money either...easier to hand it to their son.
If you dont think people making good money off the books dont partake in free social services I do have that proverbial bridge to sell.

I really hate to see all the nasty and hateful responses that were posted to my simple question. First off even if my parents did work of the books they have never used any of foodstamps or medicaid. Unlike all the lazy bums on LI they get up every morning at 4am and drive a taxi cabs until 8 or 9pm to make a nice life for their children. Let's not pretend that all these blue color Irish Italians who live on LI pay all their taxes and do everything by the book. We have met plenty of construction, plumers, electricials who were begging us to pay them partially or fully in cash, so lets not get all bent out of shape.
Getting back to my question, all I gather from your responses is that there is no way for me to legally purchase a house.
