It was always a toss-up. You don't hit the critical mass of houses you do off of South Bay Avenue (which sometimes gave full bars). What route we'd take that year was always a heated debate.

I used to take piano lessons after an Entenmann's grandkid. She used to pay for lessons in cakes, if I recall correctly.

I went to a private high school, and Islip was split into two mini-buses, depending if you were south or north of Montauk Highway, with a few kids from the Bayberry area. I was on the north bus. One year, the bus driver who used to do the south route was transferred to the north route, and complained LOUDLY on the bus how she didn't like the north route because the South-of-Montauks gave her money and gold bracelets for Christmas. That didn't sit well with the kids on my bus, so during Christmas, we gathered a bunch of Monopoly money and tokens and put them in a card to her. We wrote: Who needs gold bracelets when you get your own racecar and boat from the North-of-Montauks?

Is this the Bayville FD haunted house? I had a bad experience there a few years back.

Near the end there was this "scary" clown room with these mirrors and these bouncy weeble-wobble clown things. Must have been one of the volleys kids or something was in there dressed up as a clown. He was probably 14 or 15 but a big fat piece of you know what.

The kid started pushing people in my group..he almost knocked one of my smaller friends off his feet, then he pushed my wife. ......

I won't get into details as to what happened next, but lets just say we got out of there pretty quick and I'm not sure when the kid got up.

Not exactly a bunch of brain surgeons running that thing.
