Hi everyone!

In regards to the Meetup suggestion, thanks so much and I mean that. But I find meetup to be a horrible place. Everyone is so fickle and never carries through on groups, plans or ideas.

I've had a very good year socially with meeting people through established dating/friendship websites and to a lesser extent the Center on 14th Street and the Queens Pride House.

I am looking for more however. I am looking for a social group on LI or Queens (I am in my 30s), but also one that focuses on less narrowly gay issues (like "nude figure drawing"). In other words, a social group for gay guys not "the other way around."

Like I said in the original post, bowling for example.

Try moving out to the city where there's an abundance of options. The reason you're having a hard time finding what you're looking for is because it doesn't exist out in traditional family oriented LI.

Only if you're interested in closet cases, which LI has aplenty (shameful given our proximity to NYC). It was seriously sad to see 20-somethings in the closet, never mind the older guys cheating on their wives ().

OP: You do not come to LI to meet guys. You come here after you're married/in a stable LTR and decide that you two want a predictable suburban existence.
