When they used the heat pump properly.

Electric Heat Pumps work well for pools. Smaller pools even better. Reason Electric Heat pumps are not popular here for house heat is when it is below 32 degrees outside they are extremely ineffective. They only work effectively above 32 degrees.

After much research I'd go with heat pump in a heartbeat. However they cost more upfront and definitely need to be professionally installed which adds to the cost. They need a dedicated circuit usually a minimum 30amp for the smallest models.

Circuit Breakers are as easy as changing a light bulb. Electricians like to scare folks into doing it as it is super easy money for them.

Huh? Assuming you have a circuit run to the pool area already (I don't). Would need to trench, pull conduit, install outside outlet and terminate 40 feet away at the panel. Not "super easy" for me. Congrats if that's "like changing a lightbulb" for you.
