I can't stand these basement camel crickets anymore. Anyone know a sollution in completely eliminating them from my basement. My basement is relatively a dry basement, which i still use a dehumidifier anyway. I have a semi finished basement. I bring my dog down there every night and he loves killing them. He usually catches about 4-6 a night. He's doing a good job killing them, but either which way they are still there!

Anyone else having this problem with these? Any solutions? Thanks.

My sister called an exterminator and has eliminated them for over two years.

Pay an exterminator or you can try laying down sticky boards.

This is the first year I have had them. They are mostly in the basement but some have come upstairs.

My two cats have rather enjoyed them as toys and succulent snacks. They dont eat their legs so i have found many cricket legs after the slaughter.

Finally those two useless cats have earned their keep.

It seems like they reproduce like bunnies. No matter how many you kill, they just keep coming back. If the dog approach stops working, I used EcoTech Pest Control in Bayport and they did a great job. I know exterminators mileage varies.

Mice eat them, so if you have a rodent infestation they'll help you deal with the camel cricket infestation.

I've had them for years and only occasionally see one. I don't find them bothersome so don't bother trying to eliminate them. Ants, termites and cockroaches? I want them out. Crickets and spiders? Let 'em be....

My mom has had them for a few years now. Only in her basement though. She uses glue traps and has used an exterminator. They are gross to look at but as letterhead said she just lives with them. throws out the glue traps with the dead crickets and puts new ones down.
