This really stinks. I have been shopping there for essentials (and junk) since I was a kid. The market wasn't so classy, but it was always fun. I remember when there was a drive in movie theater in that space, unheard of now in Nassau. Well, here's just one less reason to hang around LI.

LI land is just too expensive, and they're compelled to monetize every patch of dirt to the max here.

Default Not going to miss it

I may be in a minority but as a, fairly local, resident. This area has become a major detriment to the community. When it's open, there is amazing traffic backups, lots of noise and police activity. When they close, the area is a huge pile of waste, shoppers and booth owners leave trash EVERYWHERE and it eventually finds its way to Sunrise Hwy and the water system...I say good riddance

What are you talking about? It already closed for good in 2014. You're acting like it's still ongoing. When is the last time you've been by there?
