then Long Islanders can no longer complain about illegals, and just be the racists they are.
Sorry to burst your bubble sallywed but Obama cannot legalize anything. Only congress can do that. All he can do is expand DACA (the DREAMERS) which is nothing more than deferred action of removal for 2 years (and the legality of that is being challenged in court). He is planning to expand that program to another 5 million or so, mostly the parents of the dreamers. They get EAD cards (work cards) for 2 years (can be renewed or revoked after that) but it does NOT infer any type of legal status. They will still be 100% illegal, cannot get any benefits, vote, or ever have a path to citizenship or even a green card as the law stands. The only thing they get is the ability to legally work and not worry about deportation for 2 years. The only entity that can change anything from above is congress, and with control of the senate likely to go to the GOP (or the Dem majority to decrease to almost nothing) good luck with that.
Next time do a little research first before you make an ignorant post.
We can send them to the places that aren't blue that we all advise guests here not to go to, not to spend money in and to avoid like the plague and then act like they were never on Long Island to begin with.
Racism is dead folks. Move along.
This segregation you see is all a matter of choice by everyone involved
This discussion goes on and on but I feel so left out. Would someone PLEASE tell me the secret of how to tell the legal aliens from the illegal ones just by looking and listening as so many here seem to be able to do?

Oh please, is this really rocket science? Do you really think those guys standing in front of Home Depot or 7-11 looking for work are USC's? Really?? Of course there is no absolute way to tell just by looking but you can make a pretty good determination by the circumstances.

Really? Do you seriously believe the only categorization available is to be a citizen or an illegal (undocumented) alien? Perhaps there are so many like you out there who have never heard of the categories in between and that accounts for so many uninformed comments.

What categories in between?? LPRs? Those with deferred action like Temp protected status (which is still technically illegal)? The DREAMERS? All of those 'categories in between' as you refer to them can legally work. No need to stand around Home Depot all day waiting for a pick up to mow lawns. Try again.

I love how when people are against SUPPORTING illegals, they are considered "racist"
I think L.I. THE TAX payers have had enough of housing, educating, providing/paying for healthcare, WIC, The List Goes On!
That considers me "racist"?
