North Deer Park Area safety (Maplecrest area)? (Nassau, Baldwin: apartment complex, rent)

Greetings first time poster. Girlfriend and I are looking to move into an apartment complex. We located Maplecrest apartments in deer park. Looks very nice for the price. Googled mapped the area and the housing around the perimeter look nice. Main question is how is the safety. Deer park crime stats were not what I expceted. So is the norther area (north of old country road) and away from Wyndanch a nice area? Any input on Maplecrest? Mainly worried about safety. The specific address is 21 Baldwin path deer park.

Open to all opinions and suggestions. Rent is 1450. Looking for eastern Nassau western Suffolk near a major parkway.

The area is fine. The most difficult issue you'll have to deal with is traffic on Deer Park Av.

There are some homes in the area that appear sketchy, but for the most part the area is fine.

The area is fine and crime in Deer Park is over rated. The issue is that 231 is easily accessible to the highways so do things and use 231 as an out. The area is perfectly fine.
