If you recognize this guy please let me know. This happened around 1:15 pm while I was at work. I did not realize at first when I got home until I noticed several picture frames broken on the floor. I have built in shelves around the inside of my front door. Could not get the door open but when my husband finally pried the door open the door jams are split and so is the door. He never got in. This is the only photo I could get off of my video camera. The video was posted by my neighbor on the Facebook page of Islip community watch.
Looks like your average ordinary generic skell degenerate.
Dime a dozen. I see guys that resemble this guy at 7-11's all across LI.
Wish the photo was clearer.

Me too. I have someone from the crime division coming to view the camera. I'd post the video here but don't know how to get it from FB. I don't have a FB account but my neighbor does and she could not figure out how to get the video to my email. She took video of my video using her cell phone and LOL she can't figure out how to email from her phone.
Yeah it's best to let the authorities handle it.
It's a lousy feeling I know, but for the time being lock your place up like Fort Knox and be on your guard.
More than likely if it was a failed attempt and there was some kind of evidence left behind the perp will move on and not risk the possibility that the place is now on double security watch but you never know. People are stupid, especially criminals.
We got hit once, a few months ago, and we were paranoid for a while thinking that maybe they would come back to finish the job but we're over it now. Life goes on and you can't live life in fear.
Pictures not half bad actually. Try to get it out there as much as you can.
It's a sucky feeling I know. Have you considered a dog? I love to watch people run away from my house when my dog starts howling at them. He also alerted us to someone trying to break into our car last winter at 5:00 a.m.

You are right. Luckily I was not home, but what if I was? I always park outside but what if my car was behind the gates in the yard? Sometimes they don't care if your home. I am glad that he failed to get in. He could have easily thrown a rock in one of the windows to get in but then my alarm would went off. I feel violated but I am not afraid.
