No. But a lot of time poor parents need to work multiple jobs. Or maybe single drug addict mom who got no money. But the kids still need to eat, right? Not everybody was born in loving parents family who dedicate all their time to their children. I am not sure what society you living in and think this poor situation only happens on TV.

To take that away, most of the time we are punishing the kids not the parents.

What a dolt. It's mostly single parents who utilize it and have to work. Besides, we pay for it mostly through local taxes with some subsidy from the feds (if we meet nutrition mandates). No one has complained about giving MIDDLE CLASS (and poor) kids free or reduced lunch. It's a good thing. It gives parents peace of mind and allows them to be more productive at work. It's only a slope-domed neanderthal who attacks some fantasy "welfare broods" for giving a kid a cheese sandwich.

You want welfare sucking, try GE, Exxon and pretty much every red state.

The bill repeals a specified rule that established certain nutrition standards for the national school lunch and breakfast programs.
So, no free-lunch program now.

You missed the point the nutritional standards are being changed for the better not the program eliminated.

Sorry, misread that. I didn't even know there is nutrient standard. As far as I know, all the lunches my daughter bought at school were pretty junk food already.

Betsy Devos does not have a company. She has a job working for the government. And yes, it would be tax money that pays for the vouchers.

What schools do you think should be able to cash in vouchers and what schools should not be allowed to cash them in? Think about public schools, charter schools, christian schools, catholic schools, jewish schools, muslim schools, buddhist schools, hindu schools, sikh schools, wiccan schools, montessori schools, new earth schools, sports fan schools, boy scout schools, girl scout schools. If there are any schools I have left out please say whether they should be able to cash in the vouchers or not also.
