I was curious about the above subject, can anyone care to give me detailed info about the different sects of jewish people that live in Woodmere, Hewlett, Lawrence, Cedarhusrt, Inwood, and Far Rockaway? (i.e. orthodox, modern, etc) Thanks

Hewlett, Woodmere, too, still has a very strong non-Orthodox Jewish population. I don't know too much about the various flavors of Orthodoxy, but my impression is that the orthodox in the five towns are generally modern orthodox, while Far Rockaway is more traditional. Unlike upstate, there really isn't a Hasidic presence. Contrary to what a lot of people seem to think, there are plenty of non Jews here, too.
I can read about it in google but it is not about what happens in long island and that it what I do want to know. Do you know?
