On Saturday, 3/18) at around 4:45pm I was driving down Ruth Boulevard in Commack through the development behind Emilio's Pizzaria and a group of 7 or 8 teenage boys (approximately 13-15 years old) were riding their bicycles in the middle of the street, doing pop-a-wheelies, not yielding to traffic and screaming obscenities at the drivers trying to go past them. They yelled at the person in the car in front of me and then they yelled at me. They were very deliberately blocking traffic and trying to get a reaction from the drivers. If these are your children, they need to be taught respect. They do not own the road and their little bicycles are no match against a moving car. With so many distracted drivers these days, it could easily have had a very bad outcome. Please tell your children to bicycle safely.
What scares me even more than the thought of them getting hurt is knowing that in a few years' time they'll be driving around in cars and we'll be subject to their road rage. Scary thought!
From what I have recently learned, this has been going on for at least a year, cops have been called and yet nobody seems to be stopping them. Well, I don't get intimidated easily. If I see them again, I will take photos of them and report them to the police, school, media etc.

This is in Commack just off Jericho Turnpike. The kids are deliberately blocking traffic, surrounding cars and cursing at drivers. This is not just kids riding recklessly, this is a gang of kids trying to intimidate drivers.
Just hit one or 2 of them and the rest will learn a hard lesson real quick Make sure you're in a residential area where there's a much lower chance of there being surveillance video. Immediately jump out of the car and dial 911. Be sure to sound distraught and show real emotion over the telephone so when the audio comes up in court you sound legit.
I hate to say "back in my day"...and I'm not even that old...but when my buddies and I were riding our bikes in the street, and we noticed a car coming, we'd yell out "car", and all get over near the curb so the car could pass.
Think about these kids driving once they're older and on Heroin (if not already).
Gang mentality makes it ok for them. Makes you want to get each of them in a room and tell them what's what.
Therefore, maybe try to drive down that road with 4 other folks in your car...and maybe several similarly occupied cars behind you full of friends and family. Then you can encircle and let them know what it feels like to be ganged up on. Take video so they can't make any false claims about what transpired.
Obviously, it would be hard to arrange this, and harder to coincidentally go down the road again when they are there...but that would thrwart their gang mentality pretty quickly.

Also make sure to add that you saw some other car hit them, then speed off.
