Would people generally agree that the worst private school is better than the best public school?

I've always liked the idea to have control over what my kid learns both from an academic, moral and ethical perspective (e.g. Boys using girls bathrooms, liberal spins, etc). As most know living on long island, public schools are an extension of the liberal propaganda machine designed to indoctrinate children. But with taxes so high, it is very difficult to seek alternatives without going into a financial ruin. One alternative is to buy into a "cheaper" area with the full intention to seek private school for your children educational requirements. The only problem with this is that these "cheaper" areas usually come with an immediate neighborhood that is not comfortable to live around. So the problem transforms to finding a "cheap" area with a "nice" section. I've found only a few areas that meet these requirements so far: Village of Patchogue (albeit very corrupt village) and the Village of Lake Grove. Both of these areas have school districts that my children will either be shot at or have needle hanging out of them by 15 (according to real estate agents and posters on this forum).
