Well I wouldnt want to live anywhere near bethpage and levitown, by that toxic plume. at least in merrick you can lock your doors and buy a dog, and you should be ok! unless you have kids then you have to worry about them being peer pressured into doing dope
Levittown water is cleaner than yours. Plume shmume. We get all new wells and remediation facilities. You get the same old rusty crap you had. Irony.

If your taking long showers stop now and take quick 2 minute showers
"You're" point is moot. All of the water is treated.
I sold my house in Merrick because of this post. I told my wife that somebody on the internet posted we should get out while we can, this place is a war zone. Sold at a major loss before bigger losses take effect and the neighborhood gets worst according to the original poster. Oh well better be safe than sorry.

We live in Doonsbury Iowa now.
Very smart of you. Not too many people have common sense anymore.
I'm sure Doonesbury is a lovely little town.
ANOTHER MURDER IN MERRICK!! iTS GOING TO BE FREEPORT IN 10 YEARS! https://www.newsday.com/long-island/...ion-1.31878334 A 32-year-old man was found stabbed to death inside his house in Merrick late Saturday night and police are investigating the death as a homicide. Nassau County police found the man with multiple stab wounds, including defense wounds on his hands and arms, a police spokesman said Sunday morning. The stabbing occurred in "multiple areas in the residence" on Elliot Street, the spokesman said. Someone returning home found the man and called police around 11:44 p.m., he said. The stabbing doesn't appear to be random, there was no sign of forced entry and the suspect or suspects are unknown, Det. Lt. Richard LeBrun said. The investigation is continuing, including speaking to neighbors and checking any cameras in the area, the spokesman said. Anyone with information is asked to call 800-244-8477.
I don't like Nassau County. It's like a clogged up toilet that just wont flush. However, Merrick is far from dangerous(as far as crime) and is nothing like Freeport, which aside from certain areas, isn't dangerous either. You do have a significant chance of being mowed down by a motor vehicle though. That is the greatest danger for both communities.
