41Willys do you even know what this thread is about? Did you read the congestion pricing plan yet? Based on your responses that would be a big no!

You already should have been paying! NJ has to pay $15 to get into Manhattan through the tunnels.
They have a proposed start date of 2021. Who knows if and when it will actually start. Or if it will start at all. And there's already a huge loop hole. Low income, disability, and people with Dr appointments wont have to pay. I think everyone and there mother will be getting disability stickers. So until then all those bridges I mentioned are still free.

It's not so easy.

A trip on either the LIRR OR the subway/bus is ridiculously disgusting, filthy and stressful. AND expensive.

On both, it's bad enough to make a difference to the quality of the entire next day.

It costs about half to drive in if you can find parking. If not you can usually find a paid spot at a price that makes driving roughly equal to the price of the trains, without the stress and suck-filled next day.

Oh come on, stop being so stupid. It doesn't matter whether you vote Demokrat or Republikan, they will both rob the taxpayers and do nothing to help your quality of life. I don't get why Republican voters still think the GOP is the party of small government, free markets, less taxation. They are not!

While I agree with you, there are ways to drive in that are economically more optimal than taking the train, driving in the Metro area is CRAZY. Heavy congestion, wreckless nutjobs and poor road conditions are the trifecta of driving atrocity. Congestion pricing will just make the whole cocktail that much more distasteful.
