Hello. I saw a house in Farmingdale, south of Motor Pkwy. I've lived on LI my whole life but not sure of the area, safety, crime, etc. The house in on Vandewater Street. Thanks.
I'm looking for affordable homes (for Long Island). My price range is up to $500K. I have a realtor that is showing me houses. I don't want to go farther east than that. I have not zeroed in on a community. I grew up in Plainview and currently renting in Massapequa. Plainview is nice but it's too expensive. The house I saw in Huntington Station was too close to a bad area. Thanks for responding.
might not be want you want to hear - but your best move may be staying in the rental for a while longer until this market calms down. It's just not a good time to enter the market without something to sell.
It’s a good area. I was looking to buy a house on Sullivan st years ago. Wound up buying a house in a different area of Farmingdale. The further from Main St, the better. But overall, a good area.
