Totally understand. I was suggesting the best times/schedule if the OP has flexibility. IMO, if you’re in the train 2 hrs/day, non-meeting work can be done over those 2 hours for many white collar professionals. Hell, some guy wrote a book on the LIRR.
Totally depends on your profession and company, but COVID has taught us a lot of hours are wasted at work and commuting to have people stay in one location for 8 hrs/day. Much of that time is not necessary for white collar professionals paid on a salary.
