We have a high ranch. Want to rent out top floor which has (3) br, 1 full bath, LR, DR & kitchen.
We also have a , 1/2 bath downstairs, laundry room and garage that was converted to den( got town CO/permit). Has a large wrap around deck on the 2nd floor( also go permit for).

Located in Deer Park on Commack Road. House is in very good condition. How can we get idea on how much we could rent this for w/o utilities? Thank you.

Ask a Realtor

We list them, rent them, and know what the current market will bear; and we check out prospective tenants.

Who will be living downstairs (since you only want to rent upstairs)? Do you have two electric meters? Oil or gas heat? How do you allocate heat for upstairs tenant? Etc. etc.

2 meters, 2 boilers, 2 water heaters, two panels etc.
Gas. Apt downstairs has permit. Two zones so temperature controlled separately.

Nice.

Kitchen and bathroom updated? Granite and SS in Kitchen?
Use of yard? If yes, is it fenced? Pet friendly? Shared laundry? Coin operated laundry?
Separate entrance for upstairs, or shared?
Window a/c?
And very important: LOCATION
