So far we have seen Schumer, and most Democrats in the NY State Assembly have been endorsed. Not a word about bail reform, but a lot of blabber about experience and other minor issues. Newsday should take a stance and endorse all Republicans.

Want to bet they'll be endorsing Hochul and James?

Newsday has always been a very far left "newspaper". For major political positions their endorsements will be democrats. They will endorse a republican or two in the less important offices so they can say they are unbiased.

Lol typical Newsday they always endorse 90% democrats, and then will token endorse some low level GOP politician like a tax receiver or something like that to keep up an appearance. Their “endorsements” are a joke

Endorsements by a purportedly objective newspaper have always struck me as fundamentally contradictory. And prima facie evidence a newspaper is not, in fact, even marginally objective. Or even trying to appear that way.

I’m not thrilled with Hochul; I’ve leaned Republican for quite some time. But Zeldin is on the Trump train- I can’t board. Trump’s a bridge too far for me.
I can barely say I’m a republican due to Trump. The man is a self absorbed narcissist that thinks the world revolves around him.

Zeldin isn’t Trump.

He’s nowhere near a Trump.
But because he supported him on many things, he’s a no good Trumper.
I know Lee. He’s a decent guy. He means well.
We should flip the tables and accuse everyone of being an anti semite if they don’t vote for him.
