I spend money on dumb stuff let me tell you but I used the regal select. And did aura bath in the bathrooms to help with moisture.
I didn’t see the difference and the local store told me regal select was fine and to upgrade was throwing money away. Maybe if you have level 5 dry wall finishes in a mansion you can see the difference ? Just my opinion and experience.
I think people use aura because it’s thicker and covers better thus maybe saving you in labor if you only need one coat ? But I redid all my sheet rock so I didn’t care.
The “Ben” line is awesome. Never an issue.
But if you must, no need to go above “Regal select”.
Aura just isn’t worth the extra $$$ and hassle in my experience.
I painted my entire condo in Aura. I used it because there was no detectable odor/VOCs since I was living there during that time. It was thick as hell, so to keep a wet edge I had to roll very fast. It was exhausting, but I was done in record time, LOL. What are the "color stories" that you're referring to?
Aura is great but unless you can get a deal on it I'd stick with regal as a nice balance of cost and quality as someone said
