There is something like a 10% reduction on your property taxes if you served during certain conflicts...and an extra 10-15% if you were injured during combat (need the records to show for it). You also apply for that when you would apply for Star (deadline in March).
For example, I have the Global War on Terror Medal which qualifies me for the 10%...but I need to show a DD-214 with that medal on it.
The tax assessor from your town should have all the info...and keep in mind it is ONLY property taxes...and not school taxes. Good luck.
