Rockland, just wanted to know if there is any strong Kerala/malayalee presence in nassau county

Thank you for any suggestions,

My best friend is from kerala, India. I was able to go there for her wedding. It is such a beautiful area of India. People there accepted this American with such hospitality and warmth.

My best friend as well as most of her family is in Bellrose, Queens and Floral Park. I know for a fact that there is a very active community that speaks Malayalam there. i also believe there is an Indian church near that area with a youth group (I don't know exactly where though).

I know Hicksville has a very active Indian community as well, but I am not sure if it is Kerala based. There is a Kerala (food type) vegetarian resturant called the Dosa Diner in Hicksville, so I am assuming that there is a community there as well.

I wish you luck.

I agree, best bet would be to live in Queens in those areas mentioned above if you really want to live in a borough of the city. Otherwise, areas of Long Island such as Herricks, etc are good. Also, Yonkers just north of the City has a big population of malayalees.
Three Malayalee organizations that I know of are:
Yonkers Malayalee Association
Westchester Malayalee Association
Hudson Valley Malayalee Association
You can google those names to see if they have websites.
Good luck with the search.
